BEHAN gives traditional Irish pub singing tunes "a rousing, kicked-up spin". This "Wall of MaleVoice Quintet" is made up of brothers Bernard "Barney" (guitar & mandolin), Michael (pennywhistle, concertina & fiddle), and Joseph (bodhran & harmonica) Behan along with brother-in-law Joe Morris (bodhran & snare) and grade school buddy Russ George (guitar & bodhran).
BEHAN's influences include The Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners, The Irish Rovers, DFW's own Irish Rogues, Bing Crosby and daddy Behan's predilection to inundate their young ears with the jigs reels and barn dances of the 78 player variety.
Somehow the punk music scene, liturgical music and the Arlington Drum and Bugle corps factor in as well.
