To the ancient Romans, Hibernia was Ireland, the land of winter, an unconquerable land and people.
The Hibernia School of Irish Dance operates under the direction of Erin Reid, TCRG (certified step dance teacher and céilí dance instructor). The Hibernia School offers an education, ranging from traditional to modern, in competitive solo and team Irish dancing. They offer a friendly and dynamic learning environment for all students. Classes for the less competitive dancer, seeking exercise or Irish cultural exploration are also part of the Hibernia School curriculum. Proper technique is emphasized for serious and casual students alike.
Erin Reed was born in Detroit and has lived in Dallas since 1986. She began Irish dancing in 1991 and competed and placed in the 1997 US Southwestern Regional Championships. This qualified her for the World Championships in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland in which she competed in 1998.
