Jim Flanagan

Jim Flanagan is a long time friend of NTIF and has been a favorite of Dallas audiences since he first performed here in the mid-90’s. He is a regular at Fenian’s in Jackson, MS, where his enthusiastic and sometimes raucous audiences get to see a different side of his performance.

He has played at festivals from Milwaukee to Celtic Nations in Lake Charles, LA. He is s a “Guest Artist” each year at Augusta Irish Week in Elkins, West Virginia, where he teaches a class in Irish History and Culture as well as Irish Songs and Ballads. As a native speaker of Irish (Gaelic) from the Cork Gaeltacht, an anthropologist, and long-time resident in South Mississippi, he brings a wide range of knowledge and experiences to his songs and stories.
